IMPROVING SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF 7500 BPL FAMILIES OF KHEDA DISTRICT ESPECIALLY VIRPUR AND BALASINOR TALUKA

  • To provide sustainable income to 7500 BPL swarjogari
  • To provide part-time employment especial BPL woman.
  • To provide training for skill upgradation and try to increase the production of animal & reduce the cost of production which will ultimately result into more profit
  • Animal Husbandry & Dairying activities are well established in Kheda District due to Amul.
  • Animal husbandry activities require least skill and anyone can do it.
  • Well establish of marketing facilities at doorstep by Amul. No middleman, hence beneficiary will fetch appreciable price of their product.
  • With the help of village level society, Amul and Banks, Beneficiary will get load easily as well as recovery system can be established well.
  • To provide technical assistance to BPL by the help of well established Amul infrastructure.
  • To provide high quality infrastructure to Amul under the project where and when necessary.
  • Village level Co-operative will act as a cluster with dairy activities, will be benefited to BPL.

Project Area of Implementation

Project implement in a Socio-Economical Backward Taluka like Balasinor and Virpur. Which are also draught prone taluka. This Taluka is near by Tribe Districts - Panchamahal & Sabarkantha.

S.G.S.Y SPL. Project (Dairying)

The project implemented by the AMUL and DRDA, Nadiad to cover 7500 BPL families. The project is approved by Central Government on 30-1-2004.


(A) Income

Implementation

  • Beneficiary will be selected by Chairman/Secretary of Local Society with the help of Gram Sevak.
  • TDO will scrutinize according to guideline and loan case will send to Amul.
  • Amul will stand as a guarantor on behalf of BPL Beneficiary and case send to concern bank.

Progress

  • Bacto scan / Fossomatic machine established for quality testing of milk costing about 100 lac – First time in India.
  • We can prevent the disease of Udder.
  • We can maintain the quality of Milk as per British Standard which health in a exporting the Milk Product.
  • Kheda and Anand both District benefited.
  • Milk production of selected Balasinor and Virpur taluka in a year 2003-04 was 290.92 lac ltr. while in a year 2006-07 the production was raise upto 387.38 lac ltr. – increase 96.46 lac ltr.
  • As per the financial calculation 3781 lac of Rs. in year 2003-04 while 2006-07 5810 lac Rs. – increase 2029 lac.
  • The purchase Animal will be identified by R.F.I. (Radio frequency identification) tag which can be helpfull in monitoring the presence, production and breeding of animal by special software. The programme purchase from PRAGRA Enterprise, Ahmedabad.
