Dugwell Recharge Scheme

In Gujarat the Scheme of raising the underground water level in the wells dug by farmers artificially is implemented in kheda district’s balasinor, kathla, kapadwanj and memdawad talukas .

The beneficiary will be given aid in his account to make artificial recharge structure for doing underwater recharge by dumping rainwater in the wells with the help of well recharge the clean purified water will gather and this gathered water will be used in irrigation work. From 1-4-08 the forms are accepted of farmers willing to do well recharge . The benefit is expected in monsoon so become pro-active and avail it today itself.

Benefits available under the scheme

  • For boundary line and small farmers the help will be given 100% i.e. Rs. 4200 for well recharge structure construction
  • Other big farmers will be given 50% aid i.e. Rs.2100 for well recharge structure construction
  • This financial aid will be credited in the account of the beneficiary and the amount will have to be utilized for well recharge structure construction. The construction of structure should be in compliance with the guidelines and on completion of the construction the certificate will have to be submitted to DRDA

How to avail benefit of the scheme

  • To avail the benefit under the scheme the beneficiary should contact any one from gram mitra, talati, gramsevak, development officer or Director DRDA Nadiad
  • To avail benefit a written memorandum will have to be submitted for Well-recharge , also the land documents and bank account details will have to be submitted
  • To recharge at Village or Taluka level one will have to attend the conference and training on well recharge and take guidance
  • Beneficiary will have to write Well recharge structure number given from taluka office on his Well
  • The construction of the structure will have to be done according to guideline of the scheme and the beneficiary will have to maintain the structure
